Snake Chaps have several benefits over the rest of the snake protective clothing available besides the fact that they offer full leg protection against snakes.  They also are incredible at protecting the leg from brush with thorns on it or anything else that might penetrate normal pants.

On the down side of snake chaps, and probably the thing that turns most people away is the fact that they can get quite warm, as you would probably expect.  The problem is that snakes are most active in the warmer times of the year, so this might be a problem.
